General screenshare issues and how to fix them.

ZOOM Settings
ZOOM Advanced Capture Configuration

Configure Zoom to enable advanced capture with window filtering for optimal app visibility:

Open Zoom Settings

Launch Zoom and go to Settings

Navigate to Share Screen

Click on “Share screen” in the left sidebar

Enable Advanced Capture

click “advanced” and select “Advanced capture with window filtering” in screen capture mode

Permissions
Screen Recording Access

Grant screen recording permissions to allow the app to capture your screen:

Windows

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen recording
  2. Enable “Let apps access your screen”
  3. Add Coding Interview Buddy to the allowed list
  4. Restart the application

macOS

  1. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy
  2. Click on “Privacy” tab
  3. Select “Screen Recording” from the left panel
  4. Check the box next to Coding Interview Buddy
